An interactive session was organized with prominent IPS officer, Additional Director General of Police Anuradha Shankar on ‘Police and Youth’ at Ekta Parishad office, Gandhi Bhawan on Wednesday. During the programme she interacted with the youth and answered their questions. “Our Police department is working on the law infrastrucutre of 1860, which was made by Britishers. There is an urgent need to change this system on which we are working right now” Anuradha said. During this session students raises the questions like, why common man is scared of police. Replying that Anuradha said ‘that our department is busy in maintaining their status rather than to work according to law. Police act should be reformed and we should become people’s police. Public should take the responsibility to bring this change. Only common man can create a police for common man.
