STRUGGLE FOR TRIBAL RIGHTS THROUGH UNITY IN COMMUNITY

Initially Panchayat has described their mutual conflicts openly. Leaders of Panchayat told that due to their disputes, they are unable to fight the government and transgressors which causing weaker. The community leader of village Rajawan village told that his land was transferred illegally in the name of non tribal person, and District collector was informed but no action was taken. Another village leader of Kadesara Kalan Shri Ram Prasad Sahriya told that they have captured about 90 hectares of government land along with 97 tribal families and started agricultural, government officials lodge the FIR against them as an encroacher and they are facing a court case, but due to their clashes this year they could not plough the fields. This is where unity is required.

Shri Anil Bhai of Ekta Parishad addressed the villagers that brotherhood and unity of tribal community are only way to fight for the betterment of the poor and deceived persons.

Ekta Parishad organized traditional community meeting (Samaj Panchayat) in village Kadesara Kalan a newly formed village unit, Shri Rakesh bhai from Ekta Parishad, Uttar Pradesh facilitated this Panchayat by asking individual’s  problems, and asked for necessary actions. Persons present there realized their mistakes and agreed to unite again and decided to organize sit-in before Tehsill headquarter after HOLI festival. It was decided for next meeting on 26th January 2015.

Dr. Ran Singh Parmar of Ekta Parishad told in his speech that Sahariya tribals belonged to schedule tribe in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan while they are in Schedule cast in Uttar Pradesh even they more deprived. This injustice has been done to this most backward classes then it is necessary to fight against this everyone have to unite and fight in a non- violence way.

Shiyaram Sahariya coordinated this meeting and Rani Sahariya sang some songs of inspiration song for awareness.  More than 150 people from 19 villages of Lalitpur and Jhansi participated in this meeting. District convener of Lalitpur district Shri Dinesh Sahariya, Gokul, Ramprasad, Chhotelal belonging to Lalitpur and Ramprasad, Kesar Bai,  Komal Pradhan from Jhansi played important role in organizing this Panchayat.
