"One million will walk in 2020"

Video message of Rajagopal P.V.

“Jai Jagat 2020” is a global action in which one million will walk for justice. People in several countries are expected to walk simultaneously. The major portion of this action will be in India. Within India, this can either be a decentralized action in 200 district or one million arriving in Delhi on 2nd October 2020.

March for peace and justice from Delhi to UN office in Geneva

This can be a group of 30 to 50 people, who are willing to walk a distance of 6353 km over a period of 15 months. This march will mainly focus on peace and justice and will try to draw the attention of UN bodies towards this agenda.

This action will bring a lot more visibility to the issues of justice and can also take the agenda of nonviolence into the most difficult areas of the world. Many other national and international organizations can also get involved in this action.

Preparations for the big event have already started: Between 2014 and 2020 many youth camps and padyatras (foot marches) are going to be organized in different parts of India.

 2014: International youth exchange

Ekta Parishad invites young activists from different parts of the world to visit the field area in India. This will help them to understand the practice of non-violence.

 2016: Women leadership
International participants divided into several teams will travel through India to meet women activists, women groups and other activities managed by women. In addition, a seminar about the role of women leadership in transforming the society will be organized in Bhopal. The participants from all over the world can share their experience there.

 2018: Solidarity economy
Participants from several countries will visit different states to learn about the initiatives towards a non-violent economy. After, a seminar on social solidarity economy for challenging rural poverty will take place in Bhopal.
